About the company recruiting for this position:
EVLV has teamed up with a Montréal based mining company looking for a Metal Extraction and Chemical Processing Engineer to join their team. Specializing in metal ion extraction, purification and separation, the successful candidate will be responsible in advancing our research and development efforts in chemical processing for metal extraction and refining from various primary and secondary feeds.

Requirements:
- Ph.D. or master’s degree in chemical engineering, extractive metallurgy or similar field
- 5 years experience in an industrial setting
- Experience in extractive metallurgy, including hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy, and electrometallurgy, is a plus.
- Knowledge of mineralogy and hydrometallurgical chemistry is considered an asset
- Bilingual
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Proposal Development: Write and develop detailed research proposals and scientific articles to secure funding and support for innovative projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project objectives with company goals.
- Client Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing research findings and project progress for clients and funding agencies. Ensure clear communication of complex technical information in an understandable manner.
- Patent Drafting: Draft and review patents applications, communicate and collaborate with legal consultants to ensure the protection of intellectual property generated from research activities.
- Technical Presentations: Deliver engaging technical presentations to stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry professionals. Represent the company at conferences and industry events to showcase our advancements.
- Laboratory Collaboration: Work closely with the laboratory team to contribute to design of experiments, review and analyze data, and interpret results. Prepare tables and summaries of experimental results for internal purposes as well as the client.
