Title: Technical Designer

Position Status: Monday to Friday
Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $55,00-$65,000/year, based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare production-ready artwork for all-over prints (AOPs), screen prints, embroideries, and appliqués.
Create black-and-white technical sketches illustrating garment construction details.
Adjust artwork to meet production feasibility without compromising design integrity.
Assemble and distribute complete technical packages to manufacturers via email and WeTransfer.
Review and approve AOP layouts before screen engraving begins.
Prepare specifications for fabric, trims, and components for the Production Coordinators.
Create color cards with actual fabric swatches for reference.
Fulfill customer requests by preparing specific fabric swatches.
Enter data as needed to support team operations.
Package materials and samples to send to manufacturers.
Maintain an organized fabric and component library.
Support special projects and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a technical designer in the apparel industry.
College diploma in Fashion Design is an asset.
Solid understanding of fabrics and garment construction.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel.
Highly organized with strong time management abilities.
Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
