About our client who is hiring for this position:

Evlv is currently working with a Montreal based painting company looking to fill the role of an Accountant.

 

The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.

 

The right candidate has the following soft skills:

• Strong Attention to detail
• Multitasker
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

 

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero).
• Bilingual (English and French)
• Advanced Excel skills

 

The responsibilities will include:

• Manage day-to-day accounting, journal entries and bank reconciliation
• GST/QST return and rebate
• Manage payables and accounts payables - Payroll preparation
• Assistant to the Manager, managing the calendar, entering invoices, filing documents and other office tasks
