About our client who is hiring for this position:

Evlv is currently working with a Montreal based Property Management Company looking to for Real Estate Lawyer to join their legal team.

 

The Real Estate Lawyer will have a solid background in real estate law, with hands-on experience managing transactions, negotiating contracts, and providing sound legal advice on property matters.

 

The right candidate has the following soft skills:

• Excellent Analytical, Communication and Negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently
• Strong but personable personality

 

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of real estate law experience (law firm or in-house)
• Strong knowledge of real estate law, contracts, property transactions, and leasing
• Experience with both commercial and residential real estate matters
• Bilingual (English and French)

 

The responsibilities will include:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and residential real estate contracts, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, and financing documents.
• Conduct due diligence on property acquisitions and dispositions, including title, zoning, and environmental reviews.
• Advise clients/stakeholders on land use, development, regulatory compliance, and property rights.
• Coordinate with external counsel, brokers, lenders, and municipal authorities.
• Represent the company/client in real estate closings and related negotiations.
• Resolve disputes related to real estate transactions, including litigation support when necessary.
• Keep up to date with changes in real estate law and market trends.
